This restaurant is a hidden gem! Serves the most amazing food. They even make their own bread. The wine list is superb and reasonably priced. The food is very well priced and is on par to a Michelin starred restaurant! Would highly recommend.

Extremely knowledgeable staff who were polite and able to give us excellent recommendations of the menu. Our meals were gorgeous and the meat was so tender! I highly recommend!

Firstly, the service was unbelievable - top class, so thoughtful kind and friendly - and we didn't need or ask for anything in particular - I can't remember the last time that 'nothing is too much' was the attitude of all staff - so hats off to you all. The location is great, right by the river (photo doesn't do justice) the food was brilliant - and we were given the choice of items off menu too - wasn't a problem and offered to us by the chef without asking - again top notch. Prices are reasonable and will be back - only advice is to book - especially in the summer (say this as tried to eat before a few times but had been fully booked - our fault not theirs and glad to have visited/timed it well today). I really can't fault it and we are already talking about booking and coming back. If the service and food was 80% as good as it was today it would still be a 5* review so highly recommended

Popped in for coffee, ended up staying for a very long and enjoyable lunch in the sunshine. The welcome and service was fantastic and despite being short staffed due to illness and 8 of us in our party we were looked after really well. The menu is great, so was the beer and they are very dog friendly. Lots of pay and display parking, but we parked at the sea and walked into Sandwich, which is about a 4 mile round trip crossing the golf course (but there is a 10 per car toll).

Beautiful location, excellent service, delicious meal - beautifully prepared. Eight of us enjoyed drinks in the bar area before dinner (the best Old Fashioned I have had in my two weeks stay in the UK ). We then moved to the second floor dining area, with views of the river, and the boats tied up next to the toll bridge. The service couldn't have been better. The wait staff (and the owner) checked in regularly to make sure we were happy and taken care of. I had the Korean wings to start and the mussels for dinner - both were delicious. Around the table we had the brisket and the hake - which were all enjoyed. Wonderful evening. Will definitely be coming here again, the next time we are in Sandwich .

I’ve eaten twice recently and am so delighted at the quality of the offering at this restaurant. A resident of sandwich all my life I‘ve seen so many incarnations of this site from the quirky to the down right dreadful. This is entirely different and such a refreshing change. Both times the food was fantastic and a varied and affordable wine list to boot. when I first saw the menu I thought the fish items looked quite pricey. but then buying fish now generally is extortionate. having eaten their monkfish curry dish it is absolutely delicious, incredibly filling and worth every penny. I can also highly recommend Korean wings, chicken schnitzel, mussels, brisket dishes as well. The staff work really hard and the atmosphere is terrific. Congratulations to all concerned. I hope you get the support you deserve and it is a roaring success.

Such a lovely experience at The Toll Bridge We popped in and had a drink in the delightful courtyard on a sunny afternoon prior to going back later for dinner. The food was excellent. They had sold out of steak but offered my husband a large slice of roasted sirloin as an alternative at no extra cost. Would highly recommend.

We held our wedding reception at the Toll Bridge. Shane and his staff were amazing from start to finish. The food was incredible, we started with Canapes then Shane did a BBQ on the Terrace, Beef Brisket, pulled pork, Turkey breast, pork ribs, beef burger sliders and skewered salmon and squid which was by far the best l've ever tasted. Shane is very passionate about his food and it showed. All this was accompanied with a home made buffet salad, again delicious. Later Shane prepared home made sandwich platters, delicious. Shane also made us a cake for dessert. The venue is maintained to a high standard and the staff were so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for our special day. All ours guests had a wonderful time and no one left hungry. The Toll bridge is perfect for a special occasion of any kind or try it for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed. Thanks again Shane and your wonderful staff
